Here are the top 10 Runs Per Game by team in a season since 1901. Notice 2000, which is said to be the peak of the juiced ball and juiced player era. (Year-RPG)

1930-- 5.549

1936-- 5.188

1929-- 5.186

2000-- 5.140

1925-- 5.129

1999-- 5.085

1996-- 5.036

1901-- 4.986

1994-- 4.923

1932-- 4.913

Since the Performance Enhancing Drugs are now on the decline (hopefully) so are runs per game by team dropping off almost 1/2 run since 2000. Take a look at these numbers from my MLB database since 1999. (Year--RPG)

2008-- 4.651

2007-- 4.797

2006-- 4.858

2005-- 4.592

2004-- 4.814

2003-- 4.728

2002-- 4.618

2001-- 4.775

2000-- 5.140

1999-- 5.085

Look for some low Over/Under totals in Baseball this season, especially in April and parts of May.
